The Ayyubid, also known as the Ayyoubid Dynasty, Ayoubites, Ayyoubites, Ayoubides, and the Ayyoubides, was a Muslim dynasty of Kurdish origins which ruled Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Diyar Bakr, Mecca, Hejaz and northern Iraq in the 12th and 13th centuries.
